bead sun catcher!

this pinterest find is absolutly amazing! i have already made 36 little ones and 7 big ones!

YOU NEED

-PLASTIC beads

-cupcake or cake tins (whatever size you want them to be)

-an oven

DIRECTIONS

first, you need to preheat your oven to 400 degrees. while it is heating, you can start flling the tin.

*YOU NEED NO LINING IN THE TINS*

first, i used the small cupcake tins. mine held 12 each. the bag of beads i had was plastic mixed in with wood, so mine took a while to sort out. you can color code each tin if you want, but i did mine mostly in shades. the colors i had were red, blue, and different shades of green.

when your tins are filled and the oven is ready, then you can put them in. another pinner said to bake for 20 minutes, but if you want a more bubbley and pebblish, i suggest about 15 minutes. it looks more flat if you bake for 20 minutes.

after they look how you want, you can take them out. you MUST let them cool all the way.

when they are cooled, i flipped them over and hit each one lightly with scissors, but there are also many other ways to get them out.

there are so many things to do with these. i have seen the cake pans have holes in them and be a sun catcher. i put the small ones in a glass dish, and they are beautiful. ill probably make a mobile out of the medium ones… so many ideas!!ImageImage
